At a 4plex I own, a tenant said she slipped and fell on the side of the apartment where there are some rocks and has a hole in her cheek from where her teeth went through.
Where she slipped is just some landscaping rocks and nothing deliberately negligent that would cause the accident so I think I'm OK here and not liable, but just wanted to make sure I'm not missing anything.
FWIW, she's a great tenant and nice person. I told her to go to the doctor and get it taken care of because health comes first, and we'll figure out a middle ground on the bill. Was this the right decision or would any of you have done something different? I'm pretty new to owning/managing multi-unit properties so all opinions are welcome…
