I am in the process of buying a house, and I had a technician look at the furnace, and it is 18 years, and it does not work properly. I requested the furnace be replaced; however, the seller had the furnace cleaned and repaired without consulting with my realtor. This seems inappropriate to perform different repairs than requested without first contacting my realtor.
What should I do? Although the furnace is now repaired, it will likely break again soon according to my technician. I didn't want it repaired… I wanted for it to be replaced, or I wanted credit so I can replace it myself.
