So I am in the process of buying an older home. The seller stated that there used to be an oil tank in the basement that was removed in 2007. The seller has supplied a document from the town signed by a construction official that says the tank was removed in accordance with uniform construction code. Is there anything else I should be asking for? The tank was in the basement and there are no signs of oil leaks. Additionallt, I had the ground swept and no underground tanks were found.
