Cambridge, MA. New management company has given me three days to find two new roommates and will hike the rent beyond what I can afford.

So a couple weeks ago I found a flyer passed under my door saying that the management company was coming to do an inspection of the apartment. When they came, it turned out that they were a new company that was taking over the building. They told my roommates that we would not have to sign a new lease and that practically nothing would change under the new management. About a week later they emailed us asking if we intended to renew our lease. One of my roommates did not. Before we could answer, I received another email from them yesterday (June 29th) saying that we needed to sign a renewal letter by July 3rd. They went on to say that rent would be rising by almost $300 come September. Now my remaining roommate wants to find a new place, but I cannot afford realtor fees etc. that come with a move, nor the new rent price. Is there anything I can do to make it easier for me to stay in my current apartment?
