I recently had an offer accepted on a home and part of the accepted offer was that a sewer lateral repair was to be done. I came up to the house to take some measurements before signing title/loan documents and found a red note with a stop work notice on the door. The note said that the "Drain Permits/approval for all remodelling work required an inspection". As the buyer… It seems like I won't have any problems, right? Our realtor says that this is no problem but I don't really trust their judgement. This is in California if that makes a difference.
