I was setting up a showing (I'm looking to rent), and an agent said this in an email:
"As a licensed agent i can show you the vast majority of the listings in the city. If you are interested in something, Instead of jumping around from brokers and starting over, you can send over any of the options you are considering and i will be able to easily add it on the route to show. Anything you send over i will honor the deal prices and most of the time i am able to beat those prices."
I always thought that a real estate agent was hired by the entity who owns the property, so it seems weird that just any agent would be able to show me let alone make a deal on "the vast majority" of properties?
