Not allowed to sell property of you have an Order of Protection against you?

Long story short, I have an Order of Protection against me that was the result of a criminal case and my real estate lawyer's secretary is telling me that I may not be allowed to sell property because of it. Is this true? Waiting to hear back from my lawyer but it's nerve wracking waiting because I already signed contracts. I live in NYC. I know this is a long shot but I couldn't find anything about it on the internet.
